Marija Stambolieva

Biography

I work at the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrueck where I coordinate the development and implementation of higher education instruments that aim to establish equality in opportunity, promote skills development and improve student success rates. Before coming to Osnabrueck I worked as a Diversity Coordinator at the University of Kassel.

I have also acted as a researcher, manager and policy advisor for various organizations across Europe, such as SPARK (Entrepreneurship and Education for Post-Conflict Societies), the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation, ERSTE-Foundation etc. As a former student leader I was an elected representative in the European Students' Union and the Council of Europe.

Areas of Research / Professional Expertise

My academic interests fall within the fields of social policy, labor market, education and development as well as transformations, democratization processes and globalization.

Personal Interests

I am personally committed to education and labor market inclusion and actively engage in promoting social responsibility. I am a DAAD-Alumna and Member of the World Responsible Leaders Network of the BMW Foundation.
