Areas of Research / Professional Expertise
-
My main research interests are in Public Law though I have also published on human rights, particularly privacy, and EU environmental law.
I also have a long standing interest in e-learning and innovation in representation of law. I developed OpenLawMap, a free open educational resource, for mapping and blogging about significant legal places, and the first jurisdiction-wide geographical legal map for anywhere in the world. I used this as the basis for the Preston Law Trail – an interactive team-based walking trail for which I won the Association of Law Teachers / Routledge Prize for Teaching Law with Technology Prize.
