Mohan Parasain is a Delhi based independent researcher with a PhD in Philosophy and a law degree. He has taught philosophy undergraduate classes before joining the Parliament of India in 2004. His areas of interests are ethics, political philosophy, classical and continental philosophy, philosophy of law and legislation. Presently he is working on the crossroad of moral philosophy, governance and legitimacy.

Biography

Mohan Parasain is working in the lower house of Indian Parliament. With a background in academic philosophy and an opportunity to watch 'democracy at work' in the legislature of world's largest electorate, his 'philosopher's conscience' is often pulled apart by his theoretical habituation and the complexities of governance. But thankfully there are good libraries around for him to escape into the pleasure of reading and furtively look for the answers.
