My interests are in the areas of microeconomics, the history of economic thought - having worked on the history of game theory - the information/knowledge economy and, in particular, organisational economics - mainly the theory of the firm. Most recently I have worked on combining the history of thought with the theory of the firm by writing an introduction to the theory of the firm which places the development of the theory in its historical context.

Biography
Before going to university I worked for a number of years in banking, insurance and hotels. I entered university as a mature student and studied, obviously, economics along with some mathematics and political science. After university I have tutored economics and have been an independent researcher concentrating mainly on the theory of the firm and the history of economic thought.Areas of Research / Professional Expertise

My main research is in organisational economics, mainly the theory of the firm and the history of economic thought. I have also worked on the history of game theory and the economics of the knowledge/information economy.
