Andrés Romero-Jódar is an independent scholar based in Berlin. In 2012, he obtained his PhD in English from the University of Zaragoza (Spain), and specialized in the analysis of comic books, graphic novels, and popular culture. His research on contemporary fiction and trauma studies has been published in book chapters of international edited books and academic journals.
Biography
Andrés Romero-Jódar is an independent scholar based in Berlin (Germany), where he carries out his research on contemporary culture, trauma, and memory. He obtained his PhD in English from the University of Zaragoza (Spain) in 2012 and specialized in the analysis of comic books and graphic novels. For several years he worked in this field at the University of Zaragoza (Spain), and carried out research visits at the University of Northampton (UK), the Ludwig-Maximillians-Universität in Munich (Germany), and the City University of New York (USA).His research on graphic novels, contemporary literature and trauma studies has been published in book chapters of international edited books, and academic journals such as the Journal of Popular Culture (Wiley), Studies in Comics (Intellect), Critical Engagements, Atlantis, and Revista de Literatura (CSIC - Spain), among others.
