Jill Ellingson is a professor of human resource management and the Dana Anderson Faculty Fellow at the University of Kansas School of Business. She received her doctorate in human resources and industrial relations from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She is a leading researcher in human resource management topics such as hiring, retention, training, individual differences and assessment.

Biography

Professor Jill Ellingson’s research on human resource management, individual differences and employment assessment has been honored with the SIOP Foundation Jeanneret Award for Excellence in the Study of Individual or Group Assessment and has been published in leading journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and the American Psychologist. Her edited book “Autonomous Learning in the Workplace” is part of the distinguished SIOP Organizational Frontiers Series.

She is an associate editor for the Journal of Applied Psychology, a member of the SIOP Frontiers Series editorial board, and has served on the editorial boards of Personnel Psychology and the Journal of Business and Psychology. Ellingson is a former member of the Executive Committee for the Human Resources Division of the Academy of Management and a former Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO) Fellow (1998). She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in human resource management, training and development, and individual differences.

Personal Interests
