Eduardo Medeiros is a Geography Professor, and a Senior Research Associated Fellow in the Centre of Geographical Studies (CEG), Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning (IGOT), Lisbon University, Portugal. He has a PhD in Geography: Regional and Urban Planning, and has more than 15 published papers in international journals, 8 books and 7 book chapters. In CEG he coordinates the research line of the evaluation of the EU Cohesion and Structural Policies and Programmes, Territorial Cooperation, Territorial Cohesion, Territorial Impact Assessment and Territorial Development. He has coordinated more than 10 international projects, and has been a member of many others. He is a DG Regio (European Commission) expert and a  Horizon 2020 evaluator. He is also a member of the Regional Studies Association, and belongs to its Cohesion Policy Research Network, the ZOE (Regional and Urban Studies) and MOPT (Modelling, Urban and Regional Planning) CEG Research Networks, and the Association of Portuguese Geographers (APG).
