Youngjun Kim
Youngjun Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea, studied MSc at King's College London and Ph.D at the University of Kansas. Youngjun is a professor of National Security at Korea National Defense University. He publishes "Origins of the North Korean Garrison State: The People's Army and the Korean War" at Routledge in 2017. He is an International Senior Research Fellow of the US Army Foreign Military Studies Office and a member of ROK-US Combined Forces Commander Strategic Shaping Board (CSSB).

Biography
Youngjun Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea, studied MSc Public Service Policy and Management (Defense Policy) at King's College London in England and Ph.D in History of International Politics at the University of Kansas in U.S.A. Youngjun is a professor (tenure-track) of International Politics and National Security at Korea National Defense University (KNDU). He publishes his first book, Origins of the North Korean Garrison State: The People's Army and the Korean War, 1945-1953, in 2017. He is an International Senior Research Fellow of the US Army Foreign Military Studies Office and a member of ROK-US Combined Forces Commander Strategic Shaping Board (CSSB). His job includes not only teaching and research at KNDU but also a policy advice for diverse government agencies, such as National Ministry of Defense, National Security Council, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Unification, National Assembly, National Intelligence Service, the Army, the Navy, the Air Force and others.Education
