Christine Mallinson

I am Professor of Language, Literacy, and Culture and Affiliate Professor of Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). My research focuses on English language variation in the U.S., examining the role of language in the construction of identities and cultures and the reproduction of educational inequalities.
