Alessandro Campi
Alessandro Campi was born in 1961. His research field concerns the history of modern and contemporary political thought, and published books and articles on the tradition of political realism: N. Machiavelli, R. Michels, G. Mosca, C. Schmitt, G. Miglio, R. Aron, J. Freund, etc. He has also worked on a variety of research projects on some key concepts of political theory, in particularly about “nation” , “nationalism”, “fascism”, and “right”.
Biography
Alessandro Campi was born in 1961.Graduated in Political Science, in 2001 he became Associate Professor in History of Political Thought at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Perugia.
His works have been translated in English, French, German, Spanish, and Hungarian.

He has given and organized plenty of speeches and lectures in national and international meetings (Buenos Aires, Murcia, Budapest, Paris, Rome, Krakow).
He tooks part and organized many national and international conference and seminars.

He is member of the Editorial Board of the journals “Storia del Pensiero Politico” (il Mulino, Bologna), “Empresas Política” (Murcia, Spagna), “Carl Schmitt Studien” (Dresden, Germany).
In 2010 he founded the journal “Rivista di Politica”, of which he is editor in chief (www.rivistadipolitica.it) .
He created and is editor of the series “Biblioteca di Politica” for the publisher Rubbettino (since 2010). In this series he published books and translation of the following authors : Raymond Aron, Michael Oakeshott, Carl Schmitt, David Hume, Edward H. Carr, Hans J. Morgenthau, Martin Wight, Aristotele, Pierre Manent, Robert Michels, etc.
From 2010 he is Director of the Istituto di Politica (www.istitutodipolitica.it).
From 2010 he is political editorialist of the newspapers “Il Messaggero” (Roma) and “Il Mattino” (Napoli).

Schmitt, G. Miglio, R. Aron, J. Freund, etc. (also translating several texts by many of these authors).
I have also worked on a variety of research projects on some key concepts of political theory, in particularly about “nation” , “nationalism”, “fascism”, and “right”.
