Murali Krishna Chemuturi
Murali Chemuturi is an Indian IT expert having authored 6 books on IT topics all published in USA. These are being used as prescribed/suggested reading at PG level in 43 universities in 20 countries. He is a senior member of IEEE and CSI and a Fellow of IIIE. He worked in manufacturing as well as IT and software development. The topics covered by his books are on software estimation, QA, Project Management, Requirements, design, programming and IT project management. He lives in India.
Biography
Murali Chemuturi is an information technology and software development subject matter expert, hands-on programmer, author, consultant and trainer. Since 2001, he is offering consultancy on information technology and training to organizations in India and USA from Chemuturi Consultants. Chemuturi Consultants also offers a number of products to aid project managers and software development professionals such as PMPal, a software project management tool; and EstimatorPal, FPAPal & UCPPal, a set of software estimation tools. Chemuturi Consultants also offers a material requirements planning software product MRPPal to assist small to medium manufacturing organizations to efficiently manage their materials.Prior to starting his own firm, Murali gained over 15 years of industrial experience in various engineering and manufacturing management positions. He then gained more than 30 years of information technology and software development experience. His most recent position prior to forming his firm was Vice President of Software Development at Vistaar e-Business Pvt., Ltd.
Mr. Chemuturi’s undergraduate degrees and diplomas are in Electrical and Industrial Engineering and he holds a MBA and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Methods & Programming. He has several years of academic experience teaching a variety of computer & IT courses such as COBOL, Fortran, BASIC, Computer Architecture, and Database Management Systems. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the CSI, Mumbai Chapter in December 2016.
Mr. Chemuturi authored three books, namely “Software Estimation: Best Practices, Tools and Techniques for Software Project Estimators”, “Mastering Software Quality Assurance: Best Practices, Tools and Techniques for Software Developers” and “Mastering IT Project Management: Best Practices, Tools and Techniques” published in USA by J.Ross Publishing, Inc, He authored a book on “Requirements Engineering and Management for Software Development Projects”, published in USA by the Springer Science+Business. He co-authored another book with Thomas M. Cagley, Jr. titles “Mastering Software Project Management: Best Practices, Tools and Techniques”, published by J.Ross Publishing, Inc of USA.
Murali is a senior member of IEEE, a senior member of the Computer Society of India and a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering and he is a well published author in professional journals.
