Robert Taibbi

Robert has 45 years of experience in community mental health and is currently in private practice in Charlottesville, VA. He is the author of 10 books and more than 300 articles, a regular blogger for Psychology Today and the recipient of 3 national awards for Best Consumer Health Writing. He has served as Adjunct Professor at several universities, and provides trainings nationally on couple therapy, family therapy, brief therapy and clinical supervision.


Robert Taibbi has 45 years experience. Much of his work has been in community mental health where he has served as clinician, supervisor and director. He has published over 300 journal and magazine articles, has received several writing awards, has served as contributing editor on several magazines as well as published several advice columns. He currently writes a parenting advice column for Bloom magazine, a blog for Psychology Today. In addition he has written 11 books, several that have been translated into Chinese and Portuguese, and provides training nationally and internationally.
