Francescomaria Tedesco
Francescomaria Tedesco (Crosia, 1973) is a political and legal philosopher. He teaches Political Philosophy at the University of Camerino, Italy. He is author of several essays, articles, and encyclopaedic entries. He wrote five books: Introduzione a Hayek (Laterza 2004), Diritti umani e relativismo (Laterza 2009), Eccedenza sovrana (Mimesis 2012), Modelli europei di accoglienza dei rifugiati e richiedenti asilo (Aracne 2016), Mediterraneismo. Il pensiero antimeridiano (Meltemi 2017).
Biography
Francescomaria Tedesco is a political and legal philosopher. He was born in Crosia, Italy in 1973. He teaches Political Philosophy at the University of Camerino, Italy. He has been post-doc at SUM, and research fellow at Sant'Anna School for Advanced Studies. He taught Human Rights at the University for Foreigners, Perugia (Italy). He is author of several essays, articles, and encyclopaedic entries. He wrote five monographs: Introduzione a Hayek [An Introduction to Hayek] (Laterza, Rome-Bari 2004), Diritti umani e relativismo [Human Rights and Relativism] (Laterza, Rome-Bari 2009), Eccedenza sovrana [Sovereign Excess] (Mimesis, Milan 2012; English translation, Sovereign Excess, Legitimacy and Resistance, Routledge, London-New York 2018, translated by Karen Whittle), Modelli europei di accoglienza dei rifugiati e richiedenti asilo [European Models for Refugees and Asylum Seekers] (Aracne, Roma 2016), Mediterraneismo. Il pensiero antimeridiano [Mediterraneism. The Anti-Meridian Thought] (Meltemi 2017; Voltaire Award 2018). He contributed to the newspapers Europa and Pagina99.
