I taught Electric Power Engineering at New Mexico State University for 40 years. In 1968 I started the graduate program "Electric Utility Management Program (EUMP". Prior to starting my teaching career I was a distribution engineer at El Paso Electric Company. Shortly after I started teaching I created the course in Distribution Systems that was taught as a senior elective/graduate course.

I received the BSEE degree from New Mexico State University and the MSEE degree from Illinois Institute of Technology.  I worked at El Paso Electric Company as a distribution engineer for two years prior to starting my career at NMSU in 1962. The Electric Utility Management Program started in 1968 and was totally funded by utility companies in the Southwest.  I was also very active in IEEE Power Engineering Society serving as chair of several committees and working groups.
