BiographyMichael D'Oliveiro has 20 years of experience in telecoms, broadcast media and technology, specializing in streaming media. He most recently served as Country Head for HOOQ Singapore, Asia's premium streaming media service, managing its business expansion through business development, marketing and customer acquisition. He currently serves as a consultant on streaming media and mentors start-ups as a product and/or business strategy advisor.
Prior to this, Michael worked for the Australian telco giant Telstra, where he developed and managed their first global B2B portfolio of online video products. Before joining Telstra, Michael was part of the core consumer product management team in Pay-TV leader Astro in Malaysia, developing and managing all Video on Demand products. He also served as Executive Producer at Media Prima, Malaysia's largest integrated media group, handling digital content acquisition as well as original content creation.
Born in Singapore, Michael grew up in Melbourne where he studied film and TV. Now residing back in the Lion City with his wife and three children, he spends his time on photography, watching movies (especially anything by Christopher Nolan) and cooking.
