BiographyI am a social scientist based in Bangalore, India. I have taught development, social research, and technological change at Azim Premji University, Bangalore. I was at the United Nations University / MERIT (The Netherlands), Centre for Development Studies, and Madras School of Economics. My research interests are in the economic sociology of technological change and experiences, and in the political economy of development. I am also involved in the western classical music scene in Bangalore.
Areas of Research / Professional Expertise
My interests lie in technological change, specifically the sociological basis of technological change and outcomes. I have published in various international journals on issues of technology-society relations. My latest book is titled "The Social Context of Technological Experiences: Three Studies from India." I also brought out a book in 2015 titled "Industrial Innovation, Networks, and Economic Development. "
