Heather received her MA from Xavier University in Counseling in 2016 and has been a school counselor for the past 6 years. She is dedicated to being an advocate for students and the profession through civic engagement, presenting at conferences, and being on committees and boards.

Biography

Heather is a school counselor in Ohio. She received her BA in music education from Mount St. Joseph University in 2013. Heather completed her teaching assignments in schools across the city in diverse settings. She was a candidate for Cincinnati Public School Board for 2019.

In 2016, Heather received her MA in School Counseling form Xavier University. She completed her internship at Elder High School and accepted the position at Covington Latin School. Heather helped create and implement the Whole Child Initiative, a new college and career curriculum, and spearhead the social emotional learning curriculum. She was on the Kentucky School Counselor Association board, member on the American School Counselor Association Position Statement Committee, she has presented at school counselor conferences throughout the year on the social emotional needs of gifted students, and she wrote a resolution to CPS Board Policy concerning school counselors.

Personal Interests

    Heather is dedicated to being involved in the community. As a Junior League Member, she is the Senior Delegate to the State Public Action Committee and is actively involved in advocacy and education. She was Big in the Big Brother Big Sisters program for 5 years, she started a nonprofit to help underprivileged high school males have access to formal attire called James Bond Swagger, she volunteers with Junior League, and she helps with music in her church.
