Solomon Kgatle
Prof Solomon Kgatle is associate Professor of Missiology at the department of Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology, University of South Africa, Pretoria, South Africa. He is an emerging young researcher in the focus area of African Pentecostal Christianity. He has published extensively and has presented papers in local and international conferences in the same focus area. In this book, he looks at the new developments of Pentecostalism from a South African perspective.

Biography
I am associate Professor of Missiology at the department of Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology, University of South Africa, Pretoria, South Africa. I am a critical thinker and reader of contemporary Pentecostalism within African Pentecostal Christianity. I have earned a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education from University of South Africa, BA (Hons) in Theology from University of Johannesburg (Cum Laude), MA (Theology) and PhD (Theology) from the University of Pretoria. In 2018, I received an NRF Y2 rating which means that overriding majority of my peer reviewers recognized me as having the potential to establish myself as a researcher (demonstrated by recent research products) in African Pentecostal Christianity. I am the author of three books; “the five weapons of prayer”, “servant leadership: the path to success” and “the fourth Pentecostal wave in South Africa: a critical engagement”. I published 30 peer-reviewed scholarly articles in various high impact theological journals and presented papers in major conferences in my subject.I am a member of the Golden Key International Society, New Testament Society of Southern Africa (NTSSA), South African Council of Educators, South African Missiological Society, Society of Biblical Literature, Society of Pentecostal Studies and International Association for Mission Studies.
