Prof. Cannata (D.Phil. OXON 1991), Post-Doctoral Fellow of the British Academy, Fellow at the Harvard Center at Villa I Tatti in Florence (1998) Leverhulme Trust Scholar (2001-2), Lecturer at the universities of Oxford and Reading, and at Sapienza, Rome (2008-). She published on manuscript studies and textual bibliography; linguistic and art theory in the Renaissance; late Antique and Early Modern public script. She is one of editors of the first comprehensive book on language museums (2020).

Biography
Her latest project concerns the creation of an interactive university museum of language at Sapienza. SHe shares responsibility for the project with Profs Gahtan (Florence) and Sonmez (Ankara).The Museum is the first of its kind in Europe.
