She is an award-winning Senior Lecturer in International Business and Sustainability, and a Senior Fellow of the UK’s Higher Education Academy. Her first textbook Business and Environmental Sustainability: Foundations, Challenges and Corporate Functions was published by Routledge in 2020, and she is co-authoring a book on Sustainable Engineering with colleagues from Royal Holloway, Leeds and Suffolk. She gained her PhD from Loughborough University, which was on corporate political activities by the automotive industry regarding environmental regulations in the European Union – research that involved fieldwork in Brussels with a number of EU institutions, NGOs, companies and industry bodies.
