My research interest includes polymer composites, natural fibre composites and characterization. I have 11 years of teaching and research experience. I have authored more than 25 peer reviewed journal articles, 13 book chapters, 1 edited book, 1 editorial corner and presented papers in 14 international conferences. I am currently editing 7 research books in the theme of Biocomposites and naturals fibres. I am reviewer for various international journals in the field of polymer composites.

Biography

Dr. Senthil Muthu Kumar Thiagamani is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Automobile Engineering at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE), Tamil Nadu, India. He received his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu in the year 2004, obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University Chennai in 2007 and Master of Technology in Automotive Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore in 2009. He received his Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering (specialized in Biocomposites) from KARE in 2018. He has also completed his Postdoctoral Research in the title “Development of Green Composites using Biodegradable Polymer and Natural Fiber” from Mechanical and Process Engineering Department at The Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS), KMUTNB, Thailand between August 2018 to July 2019. He started his academic career as Lecture in Mechanical Engineering at KARE in 2010. He has around 11 years of teaching and research experience. He is a member international societies such as the Society of Automotive Engineers and the International Association of Advanced Materials. He won the Researcher Incentive Award in 2018 at KARE. His research interests include Biodegradable polymer composites and their characterization. He has authored more than 25 peer reviewed journal articles, 8 book chapters, 1 edited book, 1 editorial corner and presented papers in 10 international conferences. He is currently editing 7 research books in the theme of Biocomposites and naturals fibres. He is also reviewer for various international journals and to name a few are the International Journal of Polymer Science, Journal of Polymer and the Environment, SN Applied Sciences and Journal of the Mechanical Behaviour of Materials etc.
