Charles M. Reigeluth is a distinguished educational researcher and consultant who focuses on instructional design. Project Director on a contract to facilitate a restructuring effort at the Schmitt Elementary School in Columbus, IN, 1994.

Project Director on a contract to conduct a national survey of schools involved in systemic restructuring for the Indiana Department of Education, 1989-91.

Developed several instructional theories, including the elaboration theory and simulation theory.
Consulted on instructional systems design for numerous corporations and agencies, including IBM, Motorola, Air Force Human Resources Lab, Morgan Guaranty Trust Company, Holt Rinehart & Winston, and Hewlett Packard.
Presented seminars on instructional systems design for corporations, higher education institutions, and other agencies, including AT&T, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, ISC Educational Systems, Columbia Teachers College, Indiana Department of Education, Canadian Centre for Learning Systems, Universidad de Navarra (Spain), and Universidad de Monterrey (Mexico).
Developed five learner-centered educational software programs.

About 20 contracts, including Transport Canada Training Institute in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada: advised on the use of the Elaboration theory for designing a new curriculum to train air traffic controllers; MEI Associates in Lexington, MA, and Air Force Human Resources Lab in San  Antonio, TX: advised on the design of specifications for the Advanced Instructional Design Advisor (AIDA), an instructional design expert system under development by the AFHRL; Morgan Guaranty Trust Company in New York, NY: advised on instructional strategies for training programs; and Air Force Human Resources Lab in Dayton, OH: advised on instructional strategies for complex problem solving.
