I conduct research in data mining. I am in particular interested in studying practical applications of data mining and information retrieval techniques for analyzing/understanding data (such as bioinformatics, molecular computation, music data mining, network streaming, and digital humanities. Also, having been trained as a theoretician I still maintain strong interests in the area.
