Biography

I teach upper level courses in vertebrate anatomy and development, graduate classes covering several aspects of vertebrate biology and conservation.  In addition, I provide continuing education in anatomy and physiology for the Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians and the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians.  I frequently present public and professional lectures on sea turtle biology, wildlife health, and the links between basic biology, wildlife health, and conservation, often focusing on sea turtles as charismatic species.  These various interests come together in the books I co-edited on the biology of Turtles and the Biology of Sea Turtles (volumes II & III).
