Jennifer Ann Marchbank

Associate Professor

I'm an academic, a community activist, wife, mother, author but not always in that order. My work is interdisciplinary but with a gender focus, currently finalising my 'mail order' bride project and further developing an oral history of LGBTQ activism in Surrey, BC.

Biography

I hail from a couple of little villages in rural South Scotland where I received a fantastic high school education. I've lived in Glasgow, London, Washington DC and little villages outside of each of Warwick and Bradford and now live blocks away from the Pacific under the shadow of the magnificent Cascade mountains.
