His family consists of wife Mrs Tamizselvi Kuppan(home maker), Dr. K. Kalaiarasan (alias Vasanth), Dr. K. Kumudhini, and Er. K. Praveen and mother Mrs Senthamari Thulukkanam.

He travelled to Germany, Austria and South Africa on official account.

Education

Kuppan received his BE (Hons) in 1980 from the PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, Madras University, and his M.Tech(Production engineering) in 1982 from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras(IIT-M), India.
