James Kirkwood

I am an Air Force veteran and I have been a Professor of Mathematics at Sweet Briar College for 30 years. My original research was in mathematical physics, but in my career I have written books in mathematical biology, real analysis, Markov processes as well as mathematical physics. This year I received the highest award the state of Virginia gives to faculty at colleges and universities and the highest award the Virginia Federation of Independent Colleges gives to faculty.
