bell hooks collection Two NEW titles available!

bell hooks, social activist, educator, and author of books that include Feminism is for Everybody, Ain't I a Woman, and Writing Beyond Race, has recently released Homegrown and Uncut Funk.

The new edition of Homegrown reflects on the innate solidarity between Black and Latino culture. A work of activism through dialogue, Homegrown is a declaration of solidarity that rings true even ten years after its first publication

Uncut Funk is a fluid and honest dialogue between bell hooks and Stuart Hall as they push and pull each other, and the result is a book that speaks to the power of conversation as a place of critical pedagogy.

About the author

A cultural critic, an intellectual, and a feminist writer, bell hooks is best known for classic books including Feminist Theory, Bone Black, All About Love, Rock My Soul, Belonging, We Real Cool, Where We Stand, Teaching to Transgress, Teaching Community, Outlaw Culture, and Reel to Real. hooks is Distinguished Professor in Residence in Appalachian Studies at Berea College, and resides in her home state of Kentucky.
