This collection provides, in three volumes, a selection of major sources relating to terrorism. These comprise official documents such as legislation and government pronouncements, and unofficial sources such as statements from the terrorists themselves. The documentation relates to types of terrorism - from the bombing of abortion clinics in the USA to animal liberation violence in the UK; to different regions - from the USA to Turkey and Indonesia; and to differing tactics - from the use of mortars in Northern Ireland to suicide bombers in Israel. There is also an assessment of human rights conventions and the impact of terrorism on the protection of individual liberty. The introduction to the series addresses the general problem of terrorism, while each section includes a specially written commentary from the editors.
