This series of shortform textbooks has been developed to align with and support the Level 7 Senior Leader Master’s Degree Apprenticeship (SLMDA). Each book concentrates on a key element of the SLMDA Standard and therefore covers a core essential of management practice. The series is centred around critical reflection on the underlying assumptions the individual leader or manager might make and their current practice, and collectively designed to enhance leadership knowledge, skills and behaviours. An ideal approach for any executive education course delivered through blended learning, and a useful alternative or supplement to traditional textbooks for a range of postgraduate Business & Management modules, the books:

  • Combine theory and practice – providing students with knowledge and critical understanding of the theories, concepts and principles of leading organisations and focusing on the practical application and execution of these concepts;

  • Are experience-led - providing students with the opportunity to develop their intellectual, practical and transferable skills and behaviours necessary to successfully analyse, develop and manage organisations.

  • Include features to aid learning and understanding, such as chapter objectives, summaries, reflective questions and additional PowerPoint slides and cases available online.
