Applied Linguistics Association of Australia

The Applied Linguistics Association of Australia (ALAA) is the national organisation for applied linguistics in Australia. This years event will take place 27- 29th November, New Zealand. ALAA aims to provide leadership in applied linguistics and supports the development of teaching, learning and research in the field. ALAA includes national and international members and is affiliated with the Association Internationale de Linguistique Appliquée (AILA).

About the Speaker

Katie Peace is a Commissioning Editor for Linguistics, Education and Behavioural Science books at Routledge. She has been working in publishing in both Asia and Europe for over 15 years. Her career has spanned every type of publishing from magazines, textbook publishing and custom publishing as well as digital and online content. She has worked for Taylor & Francis in both journals and books publishing for seven years. Based in Taylor & Francis’s Singapore office, she is responsible for commissioning research books from Asia Pacific authors.
