Biography
Ephraim Sneh is one of the Israeli Labor Party leaders. He is a retired General of the Israel Defence Forces, where he commanded the IAF combat rescue unit, the security zone in south Lebanon and the administration of the West Bank. He served four times in Israel's cabinet as minister of health, transport, and deputy minister of defense. In the Parliament he chairs the sub-committee on defense planning and Policy. His articles have appeared in Haaretz Magazine and he is co-author of several Israeli-Palestinian plans for peace and economic cooperation, and author of Responsibility - Israel after 2000 (1996)
