    Biography

    Philip Oldenburg is an independent scholar who teaches at Columbia University. He is the author of various publications on India, the most recent of which is the article Sex Ratio, Son Preference, and Violence in India: A Research Note. Dr. Oldenburg is currently conducting research on grass-roots governance in India.
