    Biography

    Prof. K. Gopakumar, Professor of Eminence and Head of Department, Food Science and Technology is a Ph.D in Biochemistry. He has served as the Deputy Director General (Fisheries) of the Indian Council for Agriculture Research (ICAR) and Director, Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT), Kochi. He served as Chief Technical Advisor to the Philippines Government for Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations (UN) and also expert of FAO in Bangladesh and UN Mission member to Sri Lanka. He did his Post Doctoral Research in Natural Resources Institute, London and did advanced training in Retort Pouch Processing at Metal Box, UK.

    Dr. Balgopal Gopakumar, son of Dr Gopakumar, is a Scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, New York. His research has been primarily based on the fields of data analytics, process and quality in the field of healthcare. Dr. Balagopal has over 10 years of research experience in process & quality improvement, analytics, Lean, Six-Sigma in the field of healthcare systems.
