This casebook complements the text Management Consulting Today and Tomorrow. The book consists of 20 cases, including those from Harvard and Stanford and the University of Southern California. The cases cover a broad range of topics and practice areas that are pertinent to current management consulting.  The six parts parallel the six parts in the text, including an introduction to the cases by the editors, delineating topics and issues that are critical for today’s consultants. Several cases offer new insights into the practice areas of Strategy, IT, Operations Management, Change Management and more on Data Gathering and the Future of Consulting. This casebook, together with the text, will help to increase awareness among consultants and students about skill requirements, as well as make clients sensitive to what is demanded of them in a highly competitive consulting environment.

"This book is like receiving an unexpected and invaluable gift. Unexpected in that Greiner, Olson, and Poulfelt provide such a thorough and exceedingly useful package for helping students and practitioners learn about consulting, and invaluable because what they provide for those of us who try to assist people in the learning process is THE package, saving us an incredible amount of time and energy. Thank you gentlemen!"

--W. Warner Burke, Edward Lee Thorndike Professor of Psychology and Education, Teachers College, Columbia University

"Tomorrow's consultants and even those in the profession today can learn much from an education provided by this casebook. For the first time in one place, it gives real examples of how actual consulting firms and their consultants deal with the breadth of issues in front of them and their clients. An MBA program or consulting firm without using this casebook is missing out on a rich resource for training effective consultants."

Warren Bennis, University Professor and Distinguished Professor of Business Administration, Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California

"This casebook takes us squarely into understanding key aspects of how modern consulting works-- focusing above all on how to comprehend key dilemmas in the consultant-client relationship. Its cases cover the field, making everyone wiser about the realities of consulting"
--Peter Lorange, Nestle Professor of Strategy, President, IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland
