    This multidisciplinary book draws on sociology, cultural studies, anthropology and history, to explore the diversity, challenges and achievements of Latin American women in sport.     Biography

    Rosa López de D’Amico is Professor at Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador (UPEL), Maracay, Venezuela.

    Tansin Benn is currently Visiting Professor at the University of Plymouth, UK, having retired from her role as Professor in the School of Education at the University of Birmingham, UK.

    Gertrud Pfister is Emeritus Professor at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
