The Social Science of Sport A Critical Analysis
In this book questions about definitions and demarcations of sport science are discussed. Not the least the many normative ideas of sport as good or as bad are problematized in relation to the academic field. These ideas permeate sport science in ways that are not seen in other academic fields like history, sociology or law. In addition, if and if so, in what ways sport science influence social science in general. Biography
Bo Carlsson, Professor in Sport Science, Malmö University. Carlsson has an academic background in sociology of law, and has worked with sport law in general and more particular in relation to sport, popular culture, consumption and the legal culture of sport.
Susanna Hedenborg, Professor in Sport Science, Malmö University. Hedenborg has an academic background in Economic and social history and has worked with sport history, gender studies, children and youth sport within the field of sport science.
