    Biography

    Sheryn Spencer Waterman is an educational consultant and coach who specializes in curriculum design, differentiation, assessment, and literacy. Her many accomplishments include “Teacher of the Year” in two schools, National Board Certification (renewed in 2007), Founding Fellow for the Teacher’s Network Leadership Institute, and founding interim President of the North Carolina Association of Literacy Coaches. She came to the field of education after a career as a psychotherapist and consultant. She has worked on many local, state, regional, and national projects to promote quality teaching. She is also a doctoral student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.When she was known as Sheryn Spencer Northey, she wrote the highly successful Handbook on Differentiated Instruction for Middle and High Schools.
