Stevens is Professor Emerita at Portland State University, USA, and the author or co-author of four books replete with research and strategies for faculty to succeed in their essential roles as teachers, writers, and members of an academic community. Nationally and internationally, she has consulted, offered workshops, and coached faculty on assessment practices as well as academic writing.
