    Biography

    Dr. Rupinder Singh received his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering in 2006 from T.I.E.T Patiala (India). He is a Chartered Engineer by Institution of Engineers (India) and UGC Research Awardee. Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chandigarh (India). He has more than 20 years of teaching and research experience in Production and Industrial Engineering, with special emphasis in additive manufacturing, non-conventional machining and casting. He has guided large numbers of Ph.D. and master’s students as well as coordinated 17 financed research projects. He has received several scientific awards and has worked as evaluator of projects for international research agencies as well as an examiner of Ph.D. thesis for many Indian universities. He is a Guest Editor for several International journals, books editor, and advisor for many international conferences. In addition, he has also published as author (and co-author) more than 20 monographs, 80 book chapters, and 550 articles in journals and conferences. Dr. Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, NITTTR, Chandigarh, India. He received his Doctorate in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, India. His research interest includes antenna design, fabrication, smart sensors, and process optimization. He has more than 20 years of experience in teaching and research and has published/presented more than 140 research papers in reputed International/National Journals and Research conferences. Dr. Shyam Sundar Pattnaik is presently the Director of the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh. Before joining the post of Director, Prof Pattnaik served as Vice-Chancellor of Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha. Dr. Pattnaik completed his Post-Doctoral Research from the University of Utah, USA and PhD in Engineering (Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) from Sambalpur University, Odisha. He has 52 ME thesis to his credit and has published about 280 papers in journals and conferences of repute. He has two international books and four international book chapters to his credit. A recipient of BOYSCAST FELLOWSHIP from DST, Govt. of India, Dr. Pattnaik also was awarded with the SERC Visiting Fellowship, INSA Visiting Fellowship, UGC Visiting Fellowship, Distinguished Faculty Award, National Educational Excellence Award, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Excellence, Bharat Excellence Award, Institutional Leader Excellence Award, Certificate of Commendation for excellent efforts in sponsored research scheme, Life Time Achievements in Technical Education, and Merit certificate for Best Paper. He is a Life Fellow of IETE, Life Member of ISTE and Senior Member of IEEE, USA. He is a known researcher in the field of antenna and soft computing and their application to biomedical.
