Biography
Andrew T H Tan is internationally renowned as a commentator, analyst and speaker on South-East Asian political and security issues. He holds degrees from Singapore, Cambridge and Sydney and has been a prolific academic writer on South-East Asia, on topics such as terrorism, armed rebellions, interstate tensions, non-traditional security issues and force modernization. Born in Singapore, Andrew Tan is a naturalized Australian. He currently teaches and carries out research at the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, Singapore.
