“I found AI for Creatives: Unlocking Expressive Digital Potential to be a compelling guide for creative professionals. Having been involved in digital technology since its early days in the 1990s and working across media and creative industries for over 30 years, I appreciated the book’s practical approach to integrating AI into creative workflows. The authors offer clear, actionable advice on using tools like MidJourney and ChatGPT, supported by case studies that demonstrate how AI can enhance fields like design, film, and writing—areas I’ve engaged with throughout my career. I particularly valued the book’s exploration of ethical challenges, such as intellectual property and algorithmic bias. The book strikes a thoughtful balance between AI and human creativity. I enjoy the book very much!”
Dr. William Lo, JP, Creative Industries Leader & Digital Innovation Pioneer; Founder of Netvigator & iTV; Chairman of the Audit Committee at TVB; Board Director at +20 publicly listed companies across NASDAQ and HKEX; WEF Global Leader for Tomorrow

“This book offers a clear and approachable introduction to artificial intelligence, breaking down its concepts in a way that feels accessible even to those new to the topic. I particularly appreciated how the authors highlighted the different roles AI can play in creativity, making it easier to understand the vast potential of these tools. The practical examples—complete with step-by-step guidance and prompt keywords—are incredibly helpful, especially for those looking to explore AI in the context of art and content creation. The book addresses copyright, regulation and ethical concerns well, but I would have liked to see more about integrating AI into education. Overall, this is a timely and engaging resource that successfully demystifies AI and invites readers to experiment, reflect, and imagine new ways of working with this technology. I highly recommend it to anyone curious about how to start with AI.”
Jean Sébastien Goulet, Ph.D., Editor-in-Chief, Journal of International Academic Outreach and Researcher, Pierre-Péladeau Chair of Leadership, HEC Montreal

"This is a great book to advocate for the potential for creatives to incorporate AI into their work, making a strong case for education in this field. As the world moves forward into an era of AI that some people see as a threat, this book makes the positive case for how AI can help to enhance creativity."
Sarah Chidgey, Head of International Education, Services and Skills Directorate, U.K. Department for Business & Trade

"As a university professor working with young creatives, I find AI for Creatives – Unlocking Expressive Digital Potential a very useful book. Many of my students are both excited and worried about AI. I would recommend this book as a supplementary text for courses in creative industries, digital media, or design management. It helps students see AI not as a threat to their talent, but as a set of instruments that can extend their imagination if they keep their human judgement and values at the center. What I like most is the balanced tone. The book is positive about AI, but never naïve. The chapters on ethics, bias, and intellectual property open good discussion in class and remind students that responsibility grows together with technological power."
Professor Sunny Wong, Professor of Practice at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and former chairman and CEO of Carlsberg Greater China (2006-2014)
