"This book uses an encyclopedic format to list and give suggestions for treating a wide variety of conditions using over-the counter medications, alternative and complementary modalities (chiropractic, acupuncture, meditation, and others), and nutritional supplements. It is a fairly well-referenced work that could be useful as a starting point for primary care, portal-of-entry physicians as well as patients to investigate alternatives/additions to pharmaceutical treatments for many common (and some not-so-common) conditions."
