    Biography

    Ewa Ziemba (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1084-7497) holds the position of Full Professor of management at the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland. Her research focuses on information systems and technologies for business, public administration, and sustainable development. She is one of the renowned leaders in developing a multi-dimensional approach to a sustainable information society.

    Ewa Ziemba published over 240 peer-reviewed papers, three books, and 24 edited volumes, including a few published with Springer and Cambridge Scholars Publishing. Her research articles have been published in reputable journals. In 2021, she was included in the top-cited scientists list (TOP 2% cited scientists) created by Stanford University, Elsevier, Scopus, and SciTech. Ewa Ziemba was a coordinator and principal investigator of over 40 prestigious Polish and international research projects. She is a research expert for the National Centre for Research and Development in Poland, the Academy of Finland, The Malta Council for Science and Technology, the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Ewa Ziemba has a wide experience in training, guest lectures, and delivering keynote speeches at international prestige conferences. She has supervised four Ph.D. students and above 200 master’s/bachelor’s students, 10 out of which were awarded. She serves on the editorial boards of international journals as an editor and reviewer. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Economics and Management, Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Interdisciplinary Journal of Information, Knowledge, and Management, and Associate Editor of the Journal of Computer Information Systems. Additionally, she is a reviewer for many prestige journals and publishers and has authored more than 600 reviews.

    The academic world values and recognizes Ewa Ziemba’s work and significant academic community contributions. In 2021, she was elected an ordinary member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA) in Salzburg (Class V, Social Sciences, Law, and Economics). She received numerous awards for excellent research achievements, young academic staff development, and works for the scientific community, including the Prize of the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education for Excellent Research Achievement, The Excellence in Research and Scholarship Award, and Fellow and Distinguished Scholar Award, six Silver and Bronze Journal Editor Awards, 26 Awards of the Rector of the University of Economics in Katowice, and 10 Best Research Paper Awards.

    Jarosław Wątróbski (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9189-1675) received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Faculty of Computer Science, West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin, and the D.Sc. degree in management science. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Institute of Computer Science in Management, University of Szczecin. Jarosław Wątróbski’s research work focuses on multi-criteria decision-making and sustainability issues. He has published over 200 scientific articles, conference proceedings, and books on the topic of multicriteria decision-making, MCDA method selection, sustainability issues, usability, user experience, and digital sustainability. He serves as an editor of many international scientific journals. He has authored more than 500 hundred reviews for the world’s top scientific journals. He has received a number of national and international scientific awards for his work. In 2019, 2020, and 2021, he was ranked among the 2% most cited scientists worldwide.
