    Biography

    Dr. Maulin P. Shah is the Chief Scientist and Head of the Industrial Wastewater Research Lab, Division of Applied and Environmental Microbiology Lab at Enviro Technology Ltd., Ankleshwar, Gujarat, India. His work focuses on the impact of industrial pollution on the microbial diversity of wastewater following cultivation-dependent and cultivation-independent analysis. His major work involves isolation, screening, identification, and genetically engineering high-impact microbes for the degradation of hazardous materials. His research interests include biological wastewater treatment, environmental microbiology, biodegradation, bioremediation, and phytoremediation of environmental pollutants from industrial wastewater. He has published more than 250 research papers in national and international journals of repute on various aspects of microbial biodegradation and bioremediation of environmental pollutants. He is the editor of more than 120 books of international repute and is an active editorial board member in top-rated journals.

    Dr. Alok Prasad Das serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Life Sciences, Rama Devi Women’s University, Odisha India. Before that, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Polymer Engineering, Tripura Central University, Agartala, India. He has more than 15 years of research experience. His research and innovation work, done in national and international collaborations, has appeared in over 100 publications; and his contributions have been recognized with several awards. His areas of expertise include biological wastewater treatment, bioremediation-based bioleaching of mining pollutants, bioremediation of microplastics and microfiber pollutants, and geomicrobiology of extreme habitats. He is the editor of several books of international repute, and he is an active lead guest editorial board member in top-rated journals.  His current Google Scholar: Citations is 3500 and h-index 32. He is enlisted in the world’s top 2% influential scientists as per the Stanford University list 2023.
