Biography
Dr. Sasmita Dash is working as Special Scientist at the IRIDA Research Centre for Communication Technologies, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Cyprus, Cyprus. Since 2019, she has been associated with European Union FET-OPEN and European Research Council (ERC) projects. She also holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at GIET University, Odisha, India. With over a decade of experience in teaching and research, Dr. Dash has expertise in the interdisciplinary domains, including electromagnetics, wireless communications, material science, and solid-state physics. Her research interests include graphene- and nanomaterial-based devices, terahertz and microwave technologies, antennas, absorbers, sensors, metamaterials and metasurfaces, and biomedical and wireless communication applications. Dr. Dash has authored more than 50 scientific publications in leading international journals and conferences, including works published in Nature, Frontiers, IEEE, IET, Elsevier, Wiley, and Springer. She has also contributed to several edited books and holds patents in her field. She has presented her research internationally in the USA, Japan, Germany, Finland, Greece, Cyprus, Latvia, and India. Dr. Dash received her PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India.
Dilip Senapati is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science. He has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience. He has completed his PhD and MTech in Computer Science and Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He also completed a postgraduate degree from Berhampur University, Odisha, India. He has received more than four research grants for conducting research-based projects as Principal Investigator (PI). He is the author of more than 40 scholarly research papers, which have been published in reputed journals from IEEE, Wiley, Elsevier, and Springer, as well as conferences and book chapters. He has been invited to give keynote lectures at international conferences and short-term courses. His research interests include wireless sensor networks, wireless communications, Internet of Things, entropy optimization, machine learning, and social networking.
