Advances in Diabetes is a new series of monographs, each concerned with a hot or rapidly evolving topic in diabetes. As our understanding of the disease processes involved in diabetes advances, simultaneously new treatments emerge. There is a need for an up-to-date series of concise texts which outline these advances, aimed at specialist medical and nursing practitioners in diabetes, together with their trainees.
