Biography

José Juan Buenrostro-Figueroa, PhD, is a Researcher at the Research Center for Food and Development, A.C., Mexico. He has published journal papers, book chapters, edited books, and contributions at scientific meetings. He has been a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), Mexican Society of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, and the Mexican Society for Food Protection.

Juan Manuel Tirado-Gallegos, PhD, is a Research Professor at the School of Animal Sciences and Ecology at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, Mexico. Dr. Tirado has experience in isolating, modifying, and characterizing natural polymers and developing biodegradable packaging with applications in meat products. He has published scientific articles, book chapters, and contributions in scientific meetings.

Mónica Chávez-González, PhD, is a Professor and Research Scientist at the School of Chemical Sciences of the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, Mexico. She is the general coordinator and founder of the Bioprocessing Mx-LATAM Network, which promotes R&D in bioprocessing through interaction between universities, institutes, research centers, and industries. She received a Latin American Women in Chemistry Award from the American Chemical Society and the Latin American Federation of Chemical Associations.

A. K. Haghi, PhD, is a retired professor. He is currently a research associate at the University of Coimbra, Portugal. A prolific author and editor, Professor Haghi has received grants, consulted for major corporations, and is a frequent speaker to national and international audiences. He is founder and former editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Chemoinformatics and Chemical Engineering and Polymers Research Journal.

Shaheemath Suhara K. K. is pursuing a PhD in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, India. Her research interests lie in the field of conserving natural resources for food and water security, hydrology, geoinformatics (GIS) and remote sensing, agricultural engineering, irrigation, and drainage engineering, as well as spatial analysis of natural resources.
