Biography

Dr. Mohammad H. Sadraey is a Professor in the School of Engineering, Technology, and Aeronautics at the Southern New Hampshire University, and the national president of Sigma Gamma Tau honor society. Dr. Sadraey’s main research interests are in aircraft design techniques, robust nonlinear control, autopilot, design and automatic control of unmanned air vehicles, and manned-unmanned aircraft teaming. He received his M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering in 1995 from RMIT, Australia, and his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas, USA in 2006. Dr. Sadraey is a senior member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), and is in Who’s Who in America for many years. He has over 26 years of professional experience in academia and industry. Dr. Sadraey is the author of eight textbooks including "Aircraft Design: A Systems Engineering Approach", "Design of Unmanned Aerial Systems", published by Wiley Publications in 2012, and 2019, and Aircraft Performance Analysis by CRC in 2016.

"Each major airplane performance topic is treated in depth with separate coverage of propeller and jet-propelled aircraft, as well as gliders, where applicable. The starting chapter is a comprehensive treatment of the structure and properties of the atmosphere and is very helpful for analyzing aircraft performance at all altitudes. Example problems are interspersed with the theoretical development and are solved in detail to illustrate how the theory is to be applied." - Peter Rosner, Southern New Hampshire University
