‘Beautifully crafted, Stealing from my sister’s plate offers a visually compelling and nuanced look at what it means to grow up alongside disability. Cutting from an expansive array of sibling memoirs, film, and artistic renderings, Franits deftly incorporates an insightful analysis of sibling narratives written by others before inviting us into the particularities of their own sibling story as told through arts-based autoethnography.’
